CO2 negative factory with 64.000 MWh thermal energy (850° C)

In Cologne, a carbon negative factory is planned, in which around 64,000 MWh of base load-capable thermal energy at a temperature level of 850° C is to be generated as an attractive by-product for € 50 / MWh from the carbonization of woody biomass residues and largely fed into the local heating network. Products of the process include renewables, bioplastics and agricultural feedstock.
